Obituary
On March 8, 2015, Mrs. Nancy Chichak of Waskatenau passed away at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her son, Wayne (Arlene) Chichak of Waskatenau; daughter, Joanne (Ken) Grykuliak of Edmonton; 4 grandchildren, Kyle, Krysta, Kaylee, & Jennifer; 2 brothers, Nick Gontowiuk & Anton (Ruby) Gontowiuk; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; parents, Helen & Stefan Gontowiuk. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 10:00 a.m. at National Hall, Smoky Lake. Reverend Father Daniel Friesen will be officiating with interment in Sts. Peter & Paul Russo-Orthodox Cemetery, Chahor. I spent my entire childhood around Nancy and her family. Growing up with Connie and her uncles, would place me in close proximity to her generous loving hugs and infectious laughter. Wayne was very fortunate to have such an engaged loving mother. Nancy was always keen for community gatherings and the first to offer her delicious meals. She will be dearly missed.
