My dearest sister…my memories will never fade. The birthday gift of the little red tractor, wagon, and plow when I was 8 yrs old, my first “new” toys of my own was such a surprise. Lana and you milking cows by day and getting dressed up to the nine’s for a night on the town. Hauling grain at harvest. Towing your Spitfire with the John Deere 4020 to start it so you could go to work at Celanese. Water skiing for the first time at the Drouin’s cabin and roasting marshmellows around the camp fire on those warm clear summer nights. Helping you work at the St. Paul Journal. Great Christmas parties with you and Bill in Edmonton when the table could seat 24 at once. The good old days they were. You always had a good heart and could make us laugh. You were an awesome cook. Fixing your teeth, getting your hair done, and taking pictures of you behind the wheel of the Mercedes-you looked like a million bucks. There is no more pain for you, may you rest in peace. I will love you forever.

My personal memory of Myrna was when we were teenagers and I was staying with the family for a few days.Myrna and her sister Arlene wanted to go for a ride on the new bright orange GTO their dad purchase recently. After doing the chores they were allowed to go for a ride in it so we all went for a ride to Vegreville.Along the way we sang folks songs as I played guitar on an old beat up getto blaster in the back seat.
I remember Myrna as being a very caring person who would go out of her way to make people happy.
Our deepest sympathy go out to Myrna’s family!

Relation: Myrna was my cousin

I’m so sorry for Auntie Zenovia and my cousins . . . it’s a sad time. I did have some wonderful music memories in the last couple of days though – reminders of great times with Myrna . . . .summers at the farm and The Beatles, Penny Lane . . . and how we’d sing to The Mama’s and The Papa’s! Good times . . . and Myrna was the liveliest and the most joyful!! So much fun! I also remember that gorgeous purple satin shirt she left with Donna and I . . . she was so generous! Oh and crawling out the basement window in the night when she came and stayed with us in the big city!! Good memories are what I will keep with me. God bless you all and comfort you at this sad time. Much love.

We were all very very saddened by the news of Myrna’s death. We know what a wonderful person she was. We visited Myrna and Bill as often as we could. Our thoughts are with you all, as we also mourn your loss.

From: Auntie Violet Hornum & Sharon Davis
Relation: Niece and cousin in-law

We are in Vancouver and could not attend the funeral. We wished we could have, to pay our respects. Please accept our condolences, and our thoughts are with you. The world lost a wonderful human being.

From: Ken & Del Moylan
Relation: Cousin in-law

Please accept our condolences. We have known Myrna for a long time, and, as have many others, visited with her in her garden, saw the many jars of preserves and have been the recipients of those preserves. When we took our nephews with us to visit, she often took us on a nature walk and made everything sound important and interesting. We remember the parties and the fun. We understand the loss you have suffered as a result of her death, and our thoughts are with you. We will miss her too.
