Obituary
On March 18, 2015, Mr. Mike Ratchuk of Smoky Lake passed away at the age of 89 years. He is survived by 2 daughters, Heather (Ron) Wirstuk of Smoky Lake & Karen (Rodney) Lamash of Edmonton; 2 granddaughters, Gail (Drew) Dykeman & Evonne (Myroslav) Zukiwski; great-grandson, Chase Zukiwski; sister, Pearl Skoreyko of Edmonton; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathleen Mykytiuk of Smoky Lake & Julia Bogdan of Edmonton; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen in 2009; grandson, David in 2008; parents, John & Katerina; brother, Bill & sister, Mary. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pokrova Orthodox Church, Edwand. Reverend Father Benny Ambrosie will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Smoky Lake Hospital Acute Care, STARS (Air Ambulance) or a charity of one’s choice c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
