On July 5, 2015, Mr. Metro Arychuk of Glendon passed away at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, June; 1 son & 3 daughters, Ken (Karen) Arychuk, Virginia (Earl) Wickens, Juanita (Ken) Flesher & Roxane (Jeff) Lambert; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy (Chiara) Wickens, Jared (Megan) Wickens & Joel (Jaclyn) Wickens, Sarah Flesher, Amanda (Aaron) Matheson, Kirstin Flesher, Jorge (Sarah) Matheson, Hillary Flesher, Ryan Arychuk, Ben Flesher & Emily Arychuk;4 great-grandchildren, Madden, Matlynn, Emry & Emma; 3 brothers, Alec (Ester), George (Dianna) & Edward (Evelyn); sister, Florence (George) Luciak; sister-in-law, Anne; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Russell; parents, Daniel & Ruth; brother, Steve; sister, Annie; half-brother, William; 3 half-sisters, Alexandria, Mydoria & Mary. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Glendon R.C.M.P Hall, Glendon. Pastor Henry Loewen will be officiating, with interment in Glendon Evangelical Cemetery, Glendon. Dear Aunt June, and family. We are sorry for your loss. You have been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to joining the family on Saturday to remember Uncle Metro. I have so many childhood memories with him: Learning to bait a fishhook, cleaning a perch, rummaging through his garage and taking my first snowmobile ride, to list only a few. I will miss him.

June and family…..we are sorry to hear of Metro’s passing. May the love of your family and friends surround you with strength and comfort. One of my (Paul) fond memories is a fishing trip with Metro to one of the nearby lakes when I was working in the area. We remember Metro as a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor.
