Megan Wolitski

March 12, 2001 - October 26, 2012

Obituary

Megan Alyssa Wolitski, age 11, earned her angel wings late Friday morning, October 26, 2012 at the University of Alberta Hospital surrounded by her family. Megan was born March 12, 2001 in Bonnyville, Alberta and lived in St. Paul, Alberta. She was a beautiful, smart and caring girl with a passion for dance and swimming. She was also very involved with the Girl Guides. Megan was a Grade 6 student at Racette Junior High School. Eleven years was not enough time for Megan to share all the love in her heart. She is survived by her loving parents, Sherry & Thomas Wolitski; her little sister, Kailee; maternal grandparents, Gilles & Eileen Boulianne; paternal grandparents, Gerry & Millie Wolitski; aunties & uncles, Shelley Boulianne (Les Miskolzie), Aline (Maurice) Brousseau, Amanda (Sheldon) Oberg, Christal (Richard) Brodziak, Randy (Donna) Wolitski, Perry (Jo-ann) Wolitski, Marianne (Dean) Bodnaryk, John (Tracy) Wolitski, Bobby (Brenda) Wolitski & Dean Wolitski; & all of her cousins, Emilia, Dylan, Daryan, Madison, Kieran, Kara, Afton, Danica, Landon, Cally, Ciera, Brandon, Justine, Ben, Demi, Jesse, Larissa, Anna, Lauren, Olivia, Jay & Isla. Megan was recently predeceased by her great-grandmother, Cecilia Rogan.

Megan loved the color pink, so we request that all attending wear pink. A Celebration of Megan’s Life will be held on Friday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Recreation Centre, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. Paul with viewing prior to Mass. If desired, donations may be made to Megan Wolitski Memorial c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. To send condolences online, please visit www.gracegardensfuneralchapel.com.

We never knew Megan, nor do we know you,her beloved family & friends. Our hearts however break for you & your families have been in our prayers. All grief is different but, we lost (and heaven gained) our 17 year old son September 30 2012. As parents we understand the pain & the longing to see your child again. If we can support your family in anyway, please contact us (780 623 8021 Lac La Biche). Our prayers are with, may they sustain you & give you strength.

we don’t know each other & we didn’t know Meagan. we lost our daughter in January. It’s difficult to send condolences, but we found that they do help. Talking about her & recalling memories is still a good thing. Grace Gardens support doesn’t end with Meagan’s service; their caring way continues afterwards. We can only sympathize with your utter loss & understand that this is your personal “journey”. From her pictures, from what was written about her, she was a beautiful child. From my daughter’s passing, i feel she blessed our lives & i will take what she was & what she taught me to help me go on, as i believe Meagan ( in her own youthful wisdom) will do.

From: Jerry and Laurel Pasternak
Relation: friends of the Wolitski family.

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Megan. It was much too soon to depart for one so young. Ou prayers are with you.
