Obituary
On October 4, 2021, Mr. Maverick Cardinal of Edmonton, formerly of Saddle Lake, passed away at the age of 30 years. He is survived by his daughter, Kayleigh Rae; mother of his child, Lacey Brertton; mother, Cynthia; siblings, Rhea (Matthew) Fraser, Jeremiah (Nina), Eartha, Summer, Sevina Cardinal-Heise & Seamus Cardinal-Heise; grandmother, Josephine; 3 nephews, Kobe, James & Nolan; niece, Nika; mother of the heart, Jayme Kennedy and her children, Alry & Cammie Smith. Maverick was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert; uncle Peter Pasquayak. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Pastor Linda Burns will be officiating with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake. Mav was my Derrick hand for a few years. During this time we had the opportunity to share a lot about ourselves and our lives. We attended hockey games together, had many meals together, and shared in laughter.
I will forever remember your story and how much you loved your daughter, your Mom Jayme and your siblings; Cambie and Alry. You were so blessed to have such remarkable and loving family.
