Obituary
With saddened hearts the family of Mary Vogel (nee Flasha) announce her peaceful passing early in the morning on Sunday, December 15 at the age of 100 years, surrounded by family members. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons, Edward (Ruth), Emil (Lois) & Chester (Cécille); daughter, Florence (Ken); 2 sisters, Josie Zarowny & Emily (Bill) Petraschuk; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Joe Vogel; parents, Catherine & Nicholaus Flasha; sisters, Anne Hladchuk & Antonia Gozjolko. In honour of Mary’s wishes a private family service will be held. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating with interment in Elk Point East Cemetery, Elk Point. The family is extremely grateful for the care and compassion Mom received by all the doctors, nurses, staff & volunteers. Our thoughts are with the entire Vogel Family for your loss. As a child I remember many summer’s spent at the Vogel Farm following Mary as she worked around the farm then sitting around the big kitchen table enjoying the fruits of her labor. In later years when we would stop in to see her she always made sure there was coffee in our cups and a meal on the table. We never left hungry. These are memories I will always carry with me. There will always be a piece of her in every one of you that will go on for generations. All our love Randy & Vivian
