Obituary
On Saturday June 20, 2020, Mary MacNeil passed away at the age of 56 years. Mary was known for her love of all things living, her sense of humor and a creative, free spirit.
As a mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Mary will be missed by her partner, Gerry Nickols; children, Sarah (Brandon) McDougall & Alex MacNeil.
She will also be missed and remembered by her brothers and sisters, Marg (David) Maley, Sharon (Dan) Marouelli, Hugh (Claudette) MacDonald, Rod (Colleen) MacDonald, Darcy MacDonald and Dan (Maryanne) MacDonald as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Hugh & Kaye; and her sister, Heather MacDonald. A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. A Virtual Celebration via Facebook will also be held at a later date. In recognition of Mary’s love of animals, donations may be made to Humane Society of Edmonton or St. Paul Animal Shelter c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. I got to know Mary when she worked at Racette. We often talked after school, and I really liked her. She was very hard working & had a big heat. She was so excited to hear that her daughter was getting married. I am so sad to hear about her death. My condolences go out to her family. What an incredible loss of a wonderful woman. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
