Obituary
On December 23, 2012, Mrs. Mary Mackay of Smoky Lake, formerly of Waskatenau, was called home after 98 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Edith Stodola, Jean Smith, Maryann (Ed) Boychuk, Pat Yeudall, Raymond (Donna) Mackay & Janina (Ken) Zidek; her 12 special grandchildren & 12 precious great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter; an infant son, Joseph; parents, Peter & Anne Malowany; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 3 sons-in-law, Mike Stodola, Jack Smith & William Yeudall. Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Waskatenau. Reverend Father Janko Herbut will be the celebrant, with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waskatenau Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund or a charity of one’s choice c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
