Obituary
On August 3, 2015, Mr. Marion Tchir of Spedden passed away at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; 2 sons & 1 daughter, David (Jenine), Christina (Dave McLellan) & Robert (Cristin); 6 grandchildren, Zachary, Camryn, Ryder, Ryan, Lauren & Blake; 2 brothers & 4 sisters, Dennis, Michael, Joanne (Johnny) Bodnar, Violet (Keith) Williams, Barb Tchir & Carolyn Schroderus; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Roman & Cassie; brother-in-law, Alf Schroderus; & sister, Dianne. Divine Liturgy & Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Very Reverend Father Don Bodnar will be the celebrant, with interment in Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Spedden. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30s (Cancer Support Society) or St. Paul & District Palliative Care Association c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. Mr. Tchir really was an amazing man and it shows in his family. In the last short visit that I had with him, I was reminded of the kind of person he was and the impact those moments had on me. He is someone I held in high regard.
