Marcel Emile POMERLEAU

Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcel Pomerleau on May 3, 2022. Marcel is predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen; parents, Roland & Antoinette Pomerleau; siblings, Albert Pomerleau & Lina Melnyk. He leaves behind his daughter, Jacqueline (Michael) Gibbs; precious granddaughter, Hannah Gibbs; as well as many members of the Pomerleau family.
Marcel was born and raised in St. Paul, Alberta. He took a job at Dictaphone in Edmonton and began training for a career in electronics. In Edmonton, Marcel met his wife and love of his life, Kathleen Suprovich. Marcel worked for Dictaphone for many years, transferring to Calgary, where he and Kathy welcomed their daughter into the world. He finally transferred to Saskatoon where he would become the Service Manager. Marcel and Kathy raised their daughter in Saskatoon, making friends along the way.
Marcel was a talented woodworker and member of the Saskatchewan Woodworkers’ Guild who enjoyed carpentry, wood turning, and carving. Marcel and Kathy were amazing cooks and he loved smoking and grilling meats. He enjoyed birdwatching with his dear wife, and they spent many joyful hours caring for their beautiful garden, camping, creating wood carvings and playing cards with friends.
Marcel will be missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
Due to the pandemic, no service was held for Kathy at the time of her passing on May 25, 2021. Both Marcel and Kathy will be honoured at a small, private service in St. Paul.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier will be the celebrant with inurnment in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Paul. Cremation has taken place. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by Livestream on Tuesday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. by clicking the Live Service tab above. We remember all the great times we had together camping with Marcel and Kathy and you Jacque since you were just a tiny baby.
