Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lora Lea Christensen of Elk Point, Alberta. She is survived by her son, Darren of Vancouver, BC; daughter, Diane (Cameron) Peifer of Elk Point; grandchildren, Vikki of Victoria, BC, David (Cherie) of Airdrie & Tavis (Amber) Peifer of Glendon; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Mackenzie & Mila; brother-in-law, Jerry Bruce of Abbotsford, BC; nieces, Michelle (Rob) McKellar of Abbotsford, BC, Tracy (Richard) Cannon of Langley, BC, & Jerry Bruce Jr., of Abbotsford, BC; numerous nieces & nephews. Her great-niece Megan filled her heart with so much joy & abundant love, and the time they shared with each other was something she deeply cherished daily.

To Lora’s best friends, Vera & Graham Park & family, thank you for the love and tremendous support you have given our family over the years. Deepest thanks to Kelly Lyric & family, as well as Chuck & Sue Frisby & family. Lora had a large extended military family that she called her boys, taking great pride in each & every one of them and their accomplishments. She loved you all dearly. Lora was happiest when the families got together for the military reunions, seeing everyone together, commenting on how much the kids have changed and grown. What beautiful memories she took with her from you all. As a family, we are so grateful for the love you have shown her over the years. It means everything to us.

Thank you to Dr. Drew Ramful for all the years of care as our mother’s physician. We would like to thank Dr. Yeung & all the wonderful nursing staff at the Elk Point Hospital for exceptional care & treatment in our mother’s passing.
