TORONCHUK, N. Lois (née Kachkowski)
September 3, 1940 – June 21, 2017
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mother and Baba. Lois is survived by her 5 children, Connie (Terry) Milot, Phyl, Donna, Sharon and Jerry; and 6 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1996. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Newbrook Community Centre. At Mom’s request, a private Divine Liturgy & Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Darling, Alberta for family, close friends and parishioners. Reverend Father Slavko Dumec will be the celebrant, with interment in the Darling Church cemetery. Donations may be made to the Darling Catholic Women’s Association c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.

Dear Toronchuk family,
Our sincere condolences to all of you on the loss of your Mom, Baba. We will remember your Mom from her pleasant and friendly personality. Always happy whenever we’d see Lois in the community or Darling church event. She was always so helpful and meticulous. It’s evident that her kind and courteous mannerism was passed along to her children and grandchildren. I remember Jerry and his boys coming to visit when my Dad passed away. Their kindness was very comforting.
May all your special memories help ease your grief in the days ahead.
