Obituary
On October 10, 2019 Mr. Leonard Sawak of Heinsburg passed away suddenly at the age of 85 years. Leonard is survived by his partner, Melanie McRae and her daughter, Renee Fiske; 6 grandchildren; special furry friend, Trixie; sister, Olga Chmilar; brother, Albert Sawak; numerous nieces & nephews. Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Walter & Jean Sawak; nephew, Rollie Chmilar; & brother-in-law, Mike Chmilar. Leonard was an avid farmer up until his retirement three years ago. He also worked for the County of St. Paul as a grader operator. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk Point Senior’s Centre. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating with a private family interment in Willow Range Cemetery, Northern Valley.
