On February 7, 2020, Mrs. Laura Chichak of Bruderheim passed away at the age of 93 years. She is survived by 2 daughters, Evelyn Charbonneau & Julie (Hugh) Gamblin; 5 grandchildren, Peter Charbonneau, Pam Charbonneau, Paula Charbonneau, Kevin (Racquel) Gamblin & Amanda (Dan) Zahara; 3 great-grandchildren, Bryer Lewchuk, Dillan Zahara & Logan Zahara; sister, Pearl Chilko; brother, Ed (Veneice) Frunchak; sister-in-law, Natalka Frunchak; numerous nieces, nephews & godchildren. Mrs. Chichak was predeceased by her husband, Peter; infant son, Nicholas; sisters & brothers, Mary Kretzul, Katie Kotyk, Peter, Walter & Leo; parents, William & Rosie Frunchak; father-in-law, Michael Chichak; & son-in-law, Marcel Charbonneau. Divine Liturgy & Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Star Russo-Orthodox Church, Star. Father Kolin Berglund will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Alberta & Northwest Territories or a charity of one’s choice c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
