Obituary
On October 31, 2017, Mr. Kevin Brighteyes of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 42 years. He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Bigstone; son, Tyrone Cardinal; brother, Ray Quinney; & kokom, Annie Cryer. Kevin was predeceased by his mother, Frances; & grandparents, Napoleon & Olivine Brighteyes. A Wake will be held on Monday, November 6 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 7 a 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Judge Ivan Ladouceur will be officiating, with cremation to follow. I had the fortune to know Kevin for a number of years and I would like to offer my condolences to his family and loved ones. While attending fire at ceremony Kevin and I often had conversations that impacted me in a positive and meaningful way. Kevin helped to show me how to walk in a good way and he will be missed.

Truly shocked to hear of Kevins passing. He was always so full of life and laughter. We met him a few years ago at a ceremony and we only saw him there for a few days once each year, but he was a larger than life personality and we had become friends. Our heart felt condolences to all those who loved him. We shall miss him.
