Obituary

On October 11, 2019 Mrs. Kay Melnyk of Elk Point passed away at the age of 93 years surrounded by her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters, Denise (Ernie) Kalynchuk & Donna (Mike) Stang; grandchildren, Chris, Mark, Travis (Jessica), Carly, Madison & Jordan; great-grandchildren, Thomas & Anika; great-great-grandson, Liam. She also leaves to mourn her passing a very special brother- & sister-in-law, Tom & Lorraine Melnyk; as well as sisters-in-law, Mary McIntosh, Anne, Beatrice, Olga & Florence Melnyk; & numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Melnyk was predeceased by her husband, Onufer Melnyk; parents, Helen & Fred Hasiuk; sisters & spouses, Mary (Andrew) Semeniuk, Jenny Gula, Anne (Steve) Romaniuk, Nancy Hasiuk & Pauline (John) Micklich; brothers & spouses, Bill (Pauline), Nick Hasiuk, Mike (Mary) Hasiuk & Peter Hasiuk. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Elk Point. Rt. Rev. John Lipinski will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Elk Point c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
