Obituary
With deepest sorrow the children announce the passing of their mother, Katie Hladunewich of Myrnam, on June 3, 2014, at the age of 93 years. She is survived by 2 sons, Ed (Marcia) & Ken (Brenda); 2 daughters, Deanna Baranec & Debbie (Gary) Patterson; daughter-in-law, Victoria Hladunewich; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Mary) Yachimec; & sister, Nettie Romaniuk. She was predeceased by her husband, Nick; son, Joseph; son-in-law, Donald Baranec; 3 brothers, John, Nick & Mike; & 4 sisters, Jennie, Annie, Mary & Jessie. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Divine Liturgy & Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Myrnam. Reverend Danylo Kuc & Reverend Rendy Yachimec will be officiating, with interment in Krasna Hora Cemetery, Beauvallon. If desired, donations may be made to Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Myrnam, or Krasna Hora Cemetery, Beauvallon c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
