Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine “Katie” Goruk of Dickie Bush (Bellis) announce her sudden passing on August 4, 2022 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by 4 sisters, Lena Radomsky, Alice Werenka, Jane Purych & Teresa (Jeff) McEachern; brother, Nick (Marge) Repka; special niece & nephew, Jerry & Nicole Repka, and children, Regan & Rayanna Repka; numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews. Mrs. Goruk was predeceased by her loving husband, George; daughter, Georgette; sister, Rose Andruik; parents, Mary & Metro Repka. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Russo-Orthodox Church, Dickie Bush, AB. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Russo-Orthodox Church, Dickie Bush, AB. Reverend Father Kolin Berglund will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Sts. My parents did a lot with Katie and George at Dickie Bush Church. They also lived at Bar V Nook with Katie and I would see her friendly face there. I had gone to school with their daughter Georgette, they are all together now. Rest In Peace.

My deepest condolences to Katie’s friends and family, especially her dear cousin Mary Wattamaniuk. Katie was very special, I loved her from the moment we met. She was a little firecracker. We spent many afternoons together talking and laughing. Katie had so many stories to tell, she was the strongest person I’ve ever met. Life won’t be the same without her. Rest easy Katie.
