Obituary
On June 24, 2014, Mrs. Katherine “Kay” Buryn of St. Paul passed away at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, John; 3 sons & 2 daughters, Lorraine Popik, Lorne (Léa) Buryn, Christina (Noel) Looy, Don (Debbie) Buryn & Bill (Barb) Buryn all of St. Paul; 13 grandchildren, Jodi (Eugene) Labant, Brad Popik (Amber Babcock), Leanne (Joe) Young, L.J. Buryn, Larissa Buryn (Jamie Sadlowski), Mandi (Dan) Mahé, Christopher (Angèle) Looy, Jon Buryn (Annie Landry), Brittany Buryn (Colin Desaulniers), Chelsey (Mike) Corea, Stephen (Chelsea) Buryn, Kirsten Buryn (Kurtis Kulczycki) & Ashlee Buryn (Jeff Sydora); 8 great-grandchildren & 2 on the way, Brayden, Kurtis & Jacob Labant, Milana & Kaysen Young, Linken & Reid Mahé, Emerson Corea; sister, Irene (Peter) Fedoretz of Athabasca; brother, Walter (Stella) Kachmar of Edmonton; sister-in-law, Susan Kachmar of Edmonton; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex & Mary Kachmar; 2 brothers, John (Theresa) Kachmar & Larry Kachmar. Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Divine Liturgy & Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Mark Sych will be the celebrant with interment in Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, St. Paul.
