Obituary
On July 2, 2022, Mr. John Buryn of St. Paul passed away at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his 3 sons & 2 daughters, Lorraine Popik, Lorne (Léa), Christina (Noel) Looy, Don (Debbie) & Bill (Barb); 13 grandchildren, Jodi (Eugene) Labant, Brad Popik (Toni Sime), Leanne (Joe) Young, LJ Buryn, Larissa (Jamie) Sadlowski, Mandi (Dan) Mahé, Christopher (Angele) Looy, Jon Buryn (Annie Landry), Brittany Buryn (Colin Desaulniers), Chelsey (Mike) Corea, Stephen (Chelsea) Buryn, Kirsten (Kurtis) Kulczycki & Ashlee Buryn (David Hurley); 14 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Kurtis & Jacob Labant, Milana & Kaysen Young, Linken, Reid & Dylan Mahé, Avery & Rosalie Looy, Emerson, Benedict & Oliver Corea, Shelby Buryn; 2 brothers, Walter & Nestor; sister-in-law, Doris Buryn; numerous nieces & nephews. John was predeceased by his wife, Katherine “Kay”; parents, William & Domka Buryn; brothers, Mike (Mabel), Peter (Victoria) & Bohdan (Jayne); sister, Grace (Raymond Kwasny & Joe Melowsky); sister-in-law, Frances; and 3 brothers in infancy. A Private Prayer Service will be held at Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Paul. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Father Andrij Nykyforuk will be officiating with interment in Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, St. Paul. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by Livestream by clicking the Live Service tab on our website. A recording of the service will also be made available.
