Obituary
On June 15, 2014, Mr. John Bruins of Elk Point passed away at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rita; son, “Henny” Hendrikus (Dawn) Bruins of Elk Point; daughter, Rita (Dennis) Kyncl of Big Valley; 8 grandchildren & their partners; 20 great-grandchildren & their partners; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Anaka Witteveen of Holland; sister-in-law, Henny Bruins of Holland; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; 2 brothers, Hennie & Wim; & 1 sister. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Elk Point Seniors' Centre, Elk Point. We were so sorry to hear about John. We will always remember the man from our childhood with the big smile, who teased and joked with us, his pockets full of gum who we named the gum man. Our deepest sympathy. The Radies Family, Mandy, Debbie, Shane, Heather and Roy.
