I would like to express my condolences to the Lindquist family on the passing of Jim. I knew Jim when I worked in Bonnyville as a Public Lands agrologist. Jim was a dedicated worker with a great sense of humor & ability to work well with other co-workers. I enjoyed his insight on policies & issues. I will remember Jim for his contributions to managing public Lands & his overall good nature. He will be missed by family & friends.00

From: Gerry Ehlert
Relation: I worked out of the St. Paul, Public Lands. Jim and I worked together in the area of rangeland agrologist work from the mid 80's to with Jim and Public Lands from about the mid 1980's to about 2004. I have a photo of Jim and his fellow agrologists NE Region from back in the day but it is too large a file to attach, i.e. png file 15.2 MB.

Jimbo

ice fishing was a yearly pass time
a time to be ourselves and enjoy
catch a few perch and enjoy a shore lunch
the secret of butter and oil

back to work
we liked the field the best
Jim was a practical … experienced … and a knowledgeable agrologist
a farmer himself who understood well that lifestyle … challenges … and family
he knew the importance of a healthy land
and stood out with his sense of balance and timing
always gave me lots to think about … we learn by doing
always ready with a laugh or two … ha ha

miss the Jimbo and those times
his smile will always bring me back
to stories and conversations
fellow agrologists enjoying quiet times
like sitting on ice buckets and jigging those lines … along with a few bits of banter
in hopes of a catch and mostly a love of life

Field Notes July 2024. In celebration of Jim Lindquist. A fine Rangeland Agrologist from Elk Point way. I will miss the Jimbo.

We are sorry to hear of Jim’s passing far too early in his retirement years that are the goal for us all when working hard. I worked with Jim several years at the St.Paul Agriculture office and he was great company and all about family. We hope going forward your many good memories will help ease your loss.
