Our sincere condolences to Cheri and the family. We are truly saddened to hear the news of Jim’s passing. We have known Jim for many years, from his younger days motorcycling in Edmonton to being a husband and proud father near Elk Point. His intellect and quick wit made him great company. We often use a phrase we first heard from Jim: “No job is hard if you have the right tools.”
Rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences Cheri to you and your family on Jim’s passing. We enjoyed our time working with Jim at Public Lands Division in St. Paul and fondly remember his sense of humour. We also look back at all the times we were able to socialize with you and your family. My best memory of Jim was when he came to our place to do some work and brought an orange kitten with him from the farm. He said he knew we lost our other orange cat and thought we could use another one. The cat lived for 18 years and was the best cat we ever had.
Please know that you are in our thoughts at this sad time.

My condolences to Travis & family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. We worked together for 27 years and I have many fond memories of travelling with him to workshops, conferences, and PGR meetings. We made many field trips together and as a two-man team flagged the perimeter of hundreds of acres of blocks to be cleared during the range improvement program of the 80’s. He was a hard worker and fun to be around.
Paulette and I extend our deepest sympathy to you Cheri, Kirsty, Travis, Brett, Kelsey and the extended Lindquist family.
Rest in peace my friend.

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Jim. I have many fond memories of the times shared with Jim during our careers working with Public Lands in the NE Region. My thoughts and prayers are with Sherri and family at this time of grief.

My deepest and sincere condolences go out to Cheri and the Lindquist Family. As a fellow Rangeland Agrologist, I first worked with Jim (Jimbo as we all loved to call him) mostly through the 1980’s and 1990’s as several of us were hired to administer and handle many facets of the Range Improvement Program. It was a certainly a different time back as we have progressed though several Ministry name changes and directions since then. However, we all enjoyed our numerous grazing lease inspections, working with our leaseholders, recreationists and general Public. Over the years, many fun tours, annual conferences and quarterly meetings were held to discuss various issues on Public Lands. It was a time of comradery and seemingly much less stressful than working today. Back then it was an awesome TEAM too, but we just didn’t call it that. I enjoyed working with Jim and our many discussions over range management/local ecology and such. Jim’s dedication to protecting our environment and his love of the great outdoors will be truly missed. He was just a fun person to be around and worked well with professionals, his co-workers and many friends. Remembering Jim’s ornate sense of humor always brightened up ones day ! My thoughts and prayers are with The Lindquist Family as you navigate through this difficult time together.
