Jim CREBER

August 28, 1930 - November 4, 2019

Obituary

On November 4, 2019 Mr. James Henry Creber of St. Paul passed away at the age of 89 years. James was born on August 28, 1930 in Newdale, Manitoba to Richard and Jessie Creber. He had 3 siblings, Daisy, Mary Lou and Bill, and they grew up together on a farm. James attended school in Newdale and Strathclair, completing Grade 9. He farmed after leaving home, and married Jean on March 1, 1952. Together they had 5 children, Shirley, Diana, Marion, Cindy and Glenn. James and Jean raised their family while continuing to farm. James loved country music, in addition to raising horses and Angus cattle. He did some traveling in British Columbia, Manitoba and Alberta. Family remembers James always playing country music – a cowboy at heart with an interest in showing purebred cattle. His special events would be birthdays and anniversaries. James is survived by his children, Shirley Durell of Athabasca, Diana Creber of St. Paul, Marion (Darrell) Danylak of Strome, Cindy Mytz of Edmonton and Glenn (Sherri) Creber of Sangudo; 10 grandsons; 6 granddaughters; 17 great-grandsons; 12 great-granddaughters; 11 in-laws; numerous nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his wife, Jean; 2 grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew Resch; 2 sisters, Daisy and Mary-Lou; and brother, Bill. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada c/o 5626 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. To send condolences online, please visit www.gracegardensfuneralchapel.com.

Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel Staff send our condolences to family and friends.

From: Carol (Creber) Dalgarno

So sorry to hear this news. Mom (Irene Creber) spoke to Jim on the telephone on October 30 and they had a good little visit. The two of them kept in touch not only because of the Creber relationship ( Jim and Irene’s husband were cousins), but because their birthdays were 5 days apart. Our sincere condolences to all of Jim’s family.
