Obituary
On September 28, 2019 Isabel Dion of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 41 years. She is survived by her special friend, Shawndel Robyn Haungooah; children, Francis Jr. James of Vancouver, BC, Coleman McGilvery, Laren McGilvery, Keeneye McGilvery, Willow McGilvery & Rowena Steinhauer (Ethan Hunter) all of Saddle Lake; father of her children, Larry McGilvery; grandchild, Roper “Chichum” Large; loving mother, Hazel (Ron) Desjarlais of Red Deer; father, Lawrence Jr. (Nadine) Trottier of Mission, BC; adopted mom & dad, Darrell & Leigh Brertton; grandmother, Violet Trottier of Onion Lake, SK; siblings, Crystal (Darryl) LaChance of Whitefish, SK, Leslie Makokis, Dakota Dion & Jordan Dion all of Red Deer, Darwin (Angel) Bull, Verrona Cardinal & Vera Cardinal (Rueben) all of Onion Lake, SK, Corby (Jayda) Trottier of Edmonton, Delina (Elijah) Trottier of Watsworth, NV, Bryson Trottier & Redsky (Cayla) Trottier both of Onion Lake, SK, Elston Trottier & Delree Trottier both of Mission, BC; Goddaughter, Chrisyann (Dusty) McGilvery; numerous nieces & nephews. Isabel was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Billy & Bella Dion; brother, Little Louis Dion; mosom, Lawrence Sr.; kokom, Doreen Brighteyes. A Wake will be held on Thursday (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) & Friday, October 3 & 4 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Reverend Robert Wright & Elder, Ron Desjarlais will be officiating, with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
