On June 30, 2016, Mrs. Irene Quinney of Frog Lake passed away at the age of 85 years. She is survived by 3 sons & 4 daughters, Ruth (Pedro) Cardinal- Ubiera, Ted (Marilyn) Quinney, Norma Jackson, Norman Jr. (Lorraine) Quinney, Derrick (Shirley) Quinney, Wanda Quinney & Frances (Guy) Kusnyir; 3 adopted children, Dennis Cardinal, Jason (Nina) Quinney & Allarice (Adrian) Quinney; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Emma Cardinal, Donald (Dora) Cardinal, Dorothy Cardinal, Jean Whitford, Eric Cardinal & Clement (Stella) Cardinal; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Sr.; daughter, Marcella; parents, Celestine & Arsene Cardinal; 2 brothers, Hubert & Gordon; sister, Florida. A Wake will be held on Monday (Leaving Grace Gardens at 3:30 p.m.) & Tuesday, July 4 & 5 at Frog Lake Career Centre, Frog Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Frog Lake Career Centre, Frog Lake. Reverend Father Thomas Nguyen will be the celebrant, with interment in Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Cemetery, Frog Lake. I remember when her and Norman came to visit us in Ryley, Alberta, when we lived on the farm and in town. I always sensed she really liked me when I was a little girl. She paid attention to me and talked with me. As an adult; that comes to my mind and I really appreciated that. Hiy Hiy.
