Obituary
On December 19, 2015, Mr. Henry Brertton-Giant of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his loving children, Duke Mathew Giant, “Magic Man” Alvin Giant, Henry J.R. Brertton, Hansen Calvin Brertton, Ricky (Delia) Jackson, Wanda Giant, Tina Brertton (Kelvin Bird), Karen Quinney (Barry Paul), Cherilyn Cardinal & Iris Dale Brertton; siblings, Oliver (Eliza) Brertton, Robert (Mavis) Giant, Florence Moses, Charlene Cardinal, Sylvia Coutre, Doreen Nayawatatic (Ivan Cardinal) & Doris Nayawatatic (Chris Paul); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert Nayawatatic & Sarah Giant; his wife, Charlotte Brertton-Giant; son, Ronald Brertton; son-in-law, John Pomerleau; brothers, Raymond Giant, George Brertton-Giant, Bruce Nayawatatic & Dennis Nayawatatic; sister, Yvonne Nayawatatic. A Wake will be held on Sunday, December 27 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Reverend Robert Giant and Pastor Oliver Brertton will be officiating, with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.

Henry was a kind and caring man. I coached his grandson Cody and moosim (Henry) faithful drove Cody to every game and every practice. I very much enjoyed his quiet manner and great teamster skills. Henry had a lot of pride.
