Obituary
On October 23, 2018, Mrs. Helen Yawin of Two Hills, formerly of Myrnam, passed away at the age of 100 years. She is survived by 3 daughters, Katherine Dahl, Alice Balash & Ann (Bill) Godziuk; 5 grandchildren, Cody, Charles, Laura (Dwayne), Ted (Vanessa) & Jonathan (Dena); 3 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Gabriel & Nadia; numerous nieces & nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Todor; parents, Sam & Mary Sorochan; 4 brothers & 2 sisters. A Private Funeral Service will be held, with interment in St. Peter Ukrainian Independent Cemetery, Myrnam. I just found out today, that my Auntie Helen died, in 2018, found some old letters, my brother was looking up our history and found the announcement. I’m so sad to hear this, lost touch when she went into a home. I loved all of our letters to each other, and talking to her on the phone, she was so sweet and kind, we had lots in common as we found out. I ache that I didn’t get to meet her. Condolences to the whole family, would love to correspond with any of you if you want to. Take care xo
