Obituary
On May 3, 2019 Mr. August “Gus” Dion of Kehewin passed away at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Susan; sons & daughters, Kevin (Shelley), Edward (Colleen), Karen (Dean), Michelle (Mike), Kenneth & Jodi; adopted sons, Keith Kowerchuk (Cassandra) & Melvin Abraham (Barbara); foster son, Trevor Badger; grandchildren (Mosōm), Kevin, Kyle (Tanya), Skyla (Dylan), Coral, Andee, Levi, Chloe, Bailey, Tanner, Tanisha & Cameron; great-grandchildren (Cāpān), Alyssa, Nathan, Elora-May, Sawyer & Gabriel; sisters, Irene Dion Martineau, Cecile (Raymond) Dion & Helen Dion; numerous nieces & nephews. Gus was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gustave & Marie Dion; maternal grandparents, Albert & Philomene Collins; parents, Alphonse & Maggie Dion; sister, Hazel DeCorby; grandson, Nathan T. Tingey; nephew, Wade Allan Dion; in-laws, Vernon & Alice Makokis; 3 brothers-in-law. A Wake will be held on Sunday (leaving Grace Gardens at 3:00 p.m.) & Monday, May 5 & 6 at Kehewin Community Education Centre Gym, Kehewin. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Kehewin Community Education Centre Gym, Kehewin. Reverend Father Raldy Jhack Diaz will be the celebrant, with interment in Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kehewin.
