Obituary
On October 27, 2016, Mrs. Gilberte Lafortune of St. Paul passed away at the age of 86 years. She is survived by 2 sons & 2 daughters, Raymond (Connie) Lafortune, Doris Wychopen, Diane (Leo) Cote & Marcel (Debbie) Lafortune; 8 grandchildren, Andrea (Russ), Tara, Douglas (Melissa), Jennifer (Brad), Renee (James), Erin (Richard), Sarah (Mike) & Raeah (Nic); 2 step-grandchildren, Michael (Becky) & Jaimie; 9 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Danielle, Tory, Cael, Jacob, Evan, Avery, Evan & Noah; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Austin, Kyrstin & Alessandro; 3 sisters & 1 brother, Berthe (Roland) Michaud, Real (Jenny) Malo, Jeannine (Roland) Gascon & Fleurette (Metro) Papirny; sisters-in-law, Marie Ange Malo, Lucille Gascon & Lorraine (Victor) Malo; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Origene “Shorty”, parents, Floremond & Maria Malo, sister, Lucille (Jacques) Charbonneau; 4 brothers, Lucien (Irene), Pierre (Lillian Durand), Roland & Aime. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier will be the celebrant with interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Paul. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30's (Cancer Support Society) c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB. T0A 3A1.
