On June 1, 2020, Mrs. Germaine Martin of St. Paul passed away at the age of 104 years. She is survived by her loving children, Real (Joanne), Jocelyne (Paul) Seguin & Flore (Maurice) Gosselin; 7 grandchildren, Rob (Trisha), Tanya (Jarrett) Stockwell, Carmen (Chris) Conlon, Daniel (Amanda) Seguin, Michel (Caroline) Gosselin, Gérald (Yoko) Gosselin & André (Deana) Gosselin; 20 great-grandchildren, Nadia, Tyler, Kailey, Leigh, Jamie, Camille, Christian, Caiden, Cael, Emma, Kyle, Hanna, Zachery, Max, Lucas, Audric, Mio, Méric, Hana & Alex; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Martin was predeceased by her husband in 1982, Leo; granddaughter, Shannon; parents, Joseph & Maria Gratton; siblings, Yvonne (Leon) Brousseau, Rolland (Germaine) Gratton, Leonard (Helene) Gratton & Juliette (Rolland) St. Arnault. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in Germaine’s honor on Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gabriel Coté will be the celebrant with inurnment in St. Vincent Cemetery, St. Vincent. Cremation has taken place. A special thank-you to the staff & her friends at Sunnyside Manor as well as the staff of St. Therese Healthcare Centre. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) or a charity of one’s choice c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. To All of the Families, our deepest sympathies for your loss.
We have been blessed to have Mrs. Martin in our lives for 30 + years. She always was smiling, enjoyed a good laugh, had wonderful stories and simply enjoyed herself. In those stories , it was clear how much she loved her family. It wouldn’t be the same visiting Sunnyside and not she her smile. We’ll remember her with great fondness.
