Mémère will be remembered for her excellent homemade bread which she continued to bake until she left her house at 102. Many had a knack for showing up when bread was cooling and never leaving empty handed as many a service could be bartered for a cherished loaf.
She was not one for the limelight and was a supporter of the underdog believing that not everyone had an equal opportunity and valuing the inherent worth and dignity of every individual.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her neighbors that provided angel services and the staff at Extendicare St. Paul for their compassionate care in Germaine’s final years.
