Obituary
On July 16, 2018, Mrs. Genevieve (Genny) Couillard of Saddle Lake, formerly of St. Paul, passed away at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her friend, Ben Whiskeyjack; 1 son & 2 daughters, Glenn Couillard, Darlene (Hans) Couillard-Heiniger & Joanne Couillard; 5 grandchildren, Shane Pomerleau, Nicole Crier, Shantelle Pomerleau, Cheyenne Couillard & Travis Couillard; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary Cecile Metchewais, Sophie (Carmen) Maglione & Gloria (Stan) Half; 3 sisters-in-law, Lillian Youngchief, Jeanne Lepine & Solange Bader; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 2008, Fernand; grandaughter, Jessica; parents, Edward & Amelia Moosewah; & brother, Gordon Youngchief; sisters-in-law, Simone Bergeron, Emma Tremblay & Carrie Couillard; brothers-in-law, Raymond Couillard, Ernest Tremblay, Leopold Bergeron, Euclide Lepine & Marvin Bader. A Wake will be held on Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre, St. Paul. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre, St. Paul. Reverend Father Philip Mathew will be officiating, with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
