Obituary
On September 16, 2022, Mr. Fred Wirsta of Stoney Lake passed away at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his special friend, Shirley; 5 daughters & 2 sons, Annette (Kevin) McAnally, Patsy (Curtis) Spacil, Joyce (Sylvain) Caron, Ronald (Corinne) Wirsta, Gail (Norman) Hurtubise, Kevin (Janice) Wirsta & Roseanne Vallee (Earl Cleland); 19 grandchildren, Jason, Jackie, Jessica M., Mathew, Amanda, Jaylynn, Jessica A., Natasha, Victor, Melissa, Meagan, Maddisen, Travis, Brittany, Kailey, Lexi, Katelynn, Lisa & Jared; 27 great-grandchildren & 2 on the way; brother, George Wirsta; sister, Irene James; numerous nieces & nephews. Fred was predeceased by his wife, Paula; parents, John & Helen; 4 sisters, Mary Yaremkevich, Nancy Mudryk, Rose Ahern & Kay Richards; 3 brothers, Bill, Steve & Dan; grandson, Corey Marcoux. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Allied Arts Centre, Elk Point. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating, with interment in Pochayiw Cemetery, Stoney Lake. Our deepest sympathy to the family. My heart is breaking as he was the greatest Uncle ever. He was like a father figure to me since I was 10 years old. Always made me laugh. I went to their place every day after school to help Aunt Paula with all her children. Bob and I will sure miss his visits and all the laughter he brought with him. Rest In Peace my Dear Uncle. You will forever be in my heart ♥️ and never forgotten.
