Obituary
On May 19, 2018, Mr. Frank Sloan of Ashmont passed away at the age of 61 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen; 2 sons & 4 daughters, Chris (Sheena), Rebecca, Melanie (Tim) Lawton, Jessica (Shane) Murray, Frankie (Laura) & Lauren; 10 grandchildren, Colten, Andrew, Ryan, Erik, Allie, Robbie, Troy, Emma- Anne, Bailey & Rocky; great-grandson, Kaleb; siblings, Gay (Dwayne) Waye, Jean (Delbert) Cutshaw, Tim, Ryan (Mary-Anne) & Theresa McQueen; sister-in-law, Vernial; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Loretta; grandson, Adam; son-in-law, Jesse Miller; parents, Bennie & Bertha; brother, Dennis; sister-in-law, Cathy. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m. at The Ranch, 60112 RR104, County of St. Paul. Reverend Robert Wright will be officiating, with interment in Willow Grove Cemetery, Owlseye. I will always remember Frank, as a cattleman and his good nature. Meet him in the 90’s when cattle were wandering in the fall and would always have good things to say and manners of a good guy. Frank was a larger than life character whose influence had a lasting impact on the area he served for 21 years. He is missed by friends and family alike.
I can’t be at the funeral due municipal business in Halifax this week but please know my thoughts will be with you tomorrow as you say your last “good byes”

We are so sorry that we are unable to attend Frank’s funeral. We have been away and just got home last night. Please accept our heartfelt condolences to all the Sloan families for the loss of husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
We got to know Frank as our County Councillor these many years.. He always fought hard for whatever was needed in his constituency.
