Obituary
On August 16, 2016, Reverend Father Dario Abram of St. Paul, who served the parishes of Bonnyville, Westlock, Mallaig & St. Lina, passed away at the age of 74 years. He is survived by 2 sisters, Bruna (Bruno) Bersan & Delia Abram both of Edmonton, & their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Agostino & Antonia; & sister, Ofelia Martincich. Father Dario came to the Diocese of St. Paul in 1998. Previous to that, he was a member of the Society of Jesus from 1980 until 1998. Father Dario is fondly remembered by many faithful and his brother priests. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, August 25 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul, with Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 26 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Bishop Paul Terrio will be the celebrant, with interment in St. Jean de Brebeuf Cemetery, Mallaig. Dear Bruna & Bruno, Special memories of sharing espresso with you & Father Dario. I know how happy he was when he could dine alfresco on his patio in Westlock. It was nice to see the family side of Father Dario. I do appreciate the many recipes he shared with me while I worked with him in Westlock. Many fond memories! Sending my prayers.
