Obituary
On May 30, 2017 Mrs. Evelyn Girard of Ashmont passed away at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her children, Isobel (Merv) Miller of Ashmont, Jerry (Delores) & Dwayne (Evelyn) both of St. Paul, Donna Girard & Helen (Gary) Desjarlais both of Edmonton, Edward (Anna) of Lottie Lake, Doris (Robert) French of Edmonton, David & Alma (Paul) Royer both of St. Paul; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jean (Herb) Littlejohn of Surrey, B.C. & Dorothy (Bernard) Cavanaugh of Clearwater, B.C.; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph “Leo”; 3 sons, Philip, Robert & Arthur; parents, Charles & Florence McBean; 3 brothers, David, Alex & Donald McBean. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Pastors Duane & Judy Grant will be officiating with inurnment in Willowgrove Cemetery, Owlseye. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation c/o 5626 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. To Mom, Aunt Jean, and all my cousins as well as those who also love Aunt Evelyn. We are very sorry for your loss and hope that all the good memories will sustain through your healing time.
I still remember coming to the farm in the summers and watching Aunt Evelyn cooking meals on the wood stove in the kitchen and all of us enjoying the good food.
Aunt Evelyn, you were a kind and generous person that always had something nice to say about everyone. I will miss you.

To Evelyn’s Family,we are sorry for your loss. It is not without understanding, she is certainly Happy to be gone Home,where there is no more pain and sorrow nor suffering. We remember her and you all,while visiting with our kids at the time you all lived by the lake. As well when she and your dad lived in Ashmont. It was always nice to see, and visit you all. Sorry I wished I could have been there in person to share your grief.
