On May 25, 2022, Mrs. Evangeline Favel of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 97 years. She is survived by her 2 sons, Victor (Tina) & Anthony; 2 daughters, Gloria (Louis) Moosewah & Rachelle Donavan; daughter-in-law, Cora Houle; adopted son, Dennis (Eva) Cardinal; adopted daughter, Doreen (Al) Lameman; 24 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 45 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Mary Brertton; special friend, Thelma Redcrow. Mrs. Favel was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; 2 sons, Glen & Leonard; daughter, Doreen; parents, Johnny & Caroline Brertton; 4 brothers, Irvin, Eli, William & Eddie Brertton. A Wake will be held on Sunday, May 29 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Pastor Linda Burns will be officiating, with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
