Obituary
On July 26, 2013 Mrs. Evangeline Charest of St. Paul passed away at the age of 83 years. She is survived by 3 sons & 2 daughters, Alma (Bernard) Garneau, Keith Cartier both of Edmonton, Daryl Cartier (Dorothy Noftle) of Kelowna, B.C., Joe Cartier & Doris Charest (James Richard) both of St. Paul; 3 grandchildren, Jason Garneau (Alexandria), Dawson Richard & Summer Premak; 1 great-grandchild on the way; sister, Jeanne O’Hara of Edmonton; brother, Alphonse Blanchette of Myrnam; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Cartier; second husband, Rene Charest; son, Rolland Charest; grandson, Jarett Garneau; brothers, Gerry & Eugene; sisters, Evelyn, Elize & Germaine. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier will be the celebrant with inurnment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Paul. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30's (Cancer Support Society). We were saddened to hear of Evange’s passing. Each time we’d meet, she’d be so positive about life & it was refreshing to chat with her. I would always tease her about how she knew some secret of non-aging, as she always looked so well. She was a wonderful person . Our condolences to all of her children.
