Obituary
On August 4, 2011, Mr. Eugene Snyder of Glendon passed away at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; 6 sons, Douglas (Suzanne), Kendall (Ruth), Ernest (Cindy) all of Glendon, Justyn (Kimberly) of Ashmont, Kelsey (Miriam) of St. Lina & Timothy (LeAnn) of Calgary; 18 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dennis of Redland & Dale (Mary) of Stony Plain. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth & Emerson; 1 sister, Dolly. A private family interment will be taking place on Saturday, August 6. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Glendon RCMP Century Hall, Glendon. Pastor Clayton Mutch, Pastor Malcolm Peterson and Dale Snyder will be officiating. To Joyce Snyder and her sons: I am so shock to hear about the passing away of your husband and father. Your Dad was a great man who loved God, his family, church and his community. One memory that I will have about him, when I was 11 or 12 years old, I stayed over a night at the farm with Ernest and his brothers. In the morning Your mom made a big breakfast with homemade bread and oatmeal, before we ate breakfast. Your dad opened up his big black King James Bible and had his daily family devotions with all of us.. Your dad loved the Lord..
May God grant the entire family peace in this time of mourning.

I first met Eugene when I worked as a home economist and he was on the Ag Service board, 20 years ago. We met up with him a few times as he was visiting his mother and Ulf was visiting his dad in the Bonnyville Extendicare. We were shocked to see his passing in the paper and wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the entire family.
