Heartfelt sympathies to all of Ernie’s family. When he was Mayor of Smoky Lake I was on Council in St. Paul. We were on a couple of committees together. He always had a warm welcoming smile and took the time to talk. He was a very kind, gentle person who treated me with respect and dignity. I will cherish the times he presented our town with awards for bringing the float to the parade. He had a heart of gold for all people. May he RIP.
