Obituary
On August 16, 2016, Mr. Edward Brertton Jr. of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 62 years. He is survived by 2 sons, Stacey (Shawnee) Dion of Saddle Lake & Colby Pruden of Maskwacis; daughter, Cherise Pruden of Maskwacis; traditionally adopted children, Desiree Harasym, Francis Jackson, Tyrone Hunter, Tracy Jackson & Phyllis Jackson; 2 grandchildren, Kaidyn & Angel; 2 brothers, Brian Brertton & Brian Large both of Saddle Lake; sister, Linda Clark; auntie, Eva Favel; uncle, Elie Brertton; numerous nieces, nephews & extended family. He was predeceased by his common-law, Suzanne Scanie; tradionally adopted son, Gerald Jackson; parents, Eddie & Bella; siblings, Harold, Muriel, Myrtle & Mina; grandchild, Tristen Dion; grandparents, John & Caroline Brertton and Rachel & Mark Favel. A Wake will be held on Saturday & Sunday, August 20 & 21 at United Church, Saddle Lake (Leaving Grace Gardens at 3:00 p.m.). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. at United Church, Saddle Lake. Pastor Oliver Brertton will be officiating with interment in the church cemetery.
