Obituary
On January 27, 2013, Mrs. Edna McConnell of Vilna, formerly of Ashmont, passed away at the age of 90 years. She is survived by 4 sons, David L. (Tess) of Leduc, Lester (Ida) of Clive, Clark (Karen) of Ashmont & Ellis (Diane) of Vilna; 1 daughter, Bella (Dave) Bruns of Sherwood Park; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ellis (Darlene) Henderson of Lac La Biche & Ronnie Henderson of Elk Point; 3 sisters, Eleanor Gable of Vilna, Evelyn (Howard) Gable of Sylvan Lake & Doris Belore of Morinville; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; daughter, Ethel Almquist. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 1 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Robert Wright officiating with cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made to Ashmont Legion #13 c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
