Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father, Edgar Corbière of St. Paul, formerly of Mallaig, on April 15, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Edgar will be lovingly remembered by his children, Roland (Pamela), Real (Laurette), Clarisse (Gerald) Sandboe, Yolande (Norman) Theroux, Fernande (François) Jean, Lori-Anne (Michel) St. Arnault & Carole (Richard) Requier; 17 grandchildren, Brandt, Gabriel, Miguel, Chloe, Chantelle (Ryan) Detert, Jayce, Angele (Chris) Morrison, Stephanie (Clint) Cox, David, Ashline (Paul) Nicholson, Liane, Nathalie (Justin) Gervais, Danielle, Léa, Gilles, Justin and Zachary; 9 great-grandchildren, Kael, Cruz, Quin, Kyler, Rory, Molly-Jean, Jayden, Céleste & Émeric; 8 sisters & 5 brothers, Lucie Ray, Edna Lefèbvre, Lucille (Romeo) Gascon, Joseph (Simone), Céline Desfosses, Cécile (Philip) Lamoureux, Laurette (Henri) Jubinville, Omer (Olga), Marie Plante, Louis, Dolorès (Melvin) Faryna, Alphonse (Georgette) & Jean-Marie (Geraldine); sister- in-law, Ghislaine Corbière; & numerous nieces & nephews. Edgar was predeceased by his wife, Cécile; son, Laurier; parents, Alphonse & Dolorès Corbière; brothers, Léo & Hervé; sister, Rose Gustafson. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier will be the celebrant with interment in St. Jean de Brebeuf Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mallaig. Dad touched so many lives through his dreams and passions. May faith and hope inspire us all to continue to live on the legacy he left behind. Mon Oncle et Ma tante étaient tellement fières de chacuns et chacunes de vous. C’était un homme chaleureux avec un grand cœur, toujours prêt à aidé qui que soit, sans demandé rien en retour. Il a sû bien servir toute sa vie et avec un sourire. La foi pour lui et ma tante c’était très précieux. Il estimait beaucoup son père, sa mère ainsi que toutes ces frères et sœurs, ainsi que sa belle famille. Vie bien vaincue. Repose en paix avec ma tante, Laurier et toutes ceux que tu as rejoints.
