Obituary
It is with great sadness and loss that our family announces the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and uncle, Dwayne Lindberg of Owlseye, at the age of 72. Dwayne will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret Lindberg; 3 daughters & 1 son, Lisa (Jack) VandenBerg of St. Paul, John (Kristi) Lindberg of Grande Prairie, Sandra (Eldon) Weinmeier of Boscombe & Janice (Harley) Thompson of Owlseye; 7 grandchildren, Kaylee & Jordan VandenBerg, Wyllo & Vylet Lindberg, Sheldon (Melissa) Weinmeier, Ally & Zach Thompson; great-grandchildren, Hadley & Parker Weinmeier; mother, Kay Lindberg; brother, Laverne (Sherry) Lindberg; brother-in-law, Terry Melnychuk; numerous nieces, nephews, inlaws & extended family. Dwayne was predeceased by his father, Stan; sister, Trudy Melnychuk; & niece, Gina Lindberg. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Ashmont Agriplex, Ashmont. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating, with interment in Willow Grove Cemetery, Owlseye. Dwayne was an avid supporter of Haying in the 30s. Dear Margaret, Lisa, Sandy, Janice, John (and Family):
We were so sorry to hear this very sad news. Dwayne had a real zest for life and living, and always had fun and humorous stories to share. Forever a cowboy, it was wonderful to see his growing herd of miniatures and to know how much he enjoyed this as an incredible hobby. Dwayne just always got right out there and did what he wanted to do! He will be forever remembered by us as a great neighbor and friend! We regret that we will not be able to attend services; but please know that you are in our hearts and our prayers. We extend our sincere sympathy.
