Doris Capjack (nee Ewasiuk)

Obituary
It is with sad hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris at the age of 87 years. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Bernice Capjack of Elk Point & Gladys (Allan) Mitchell of Edmonton; & son, Michael (Kathy) Capjack of Edmonton. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Tammy (Robin), Landon (Janet), Sky (Suzy), Adele (Ashish) & Adam (Megan); as well as her precious great-grandchildren, Connor, Keeling, Carter, Sabylla, Stella, Watt, Clay, Max, Lane & Tavin. Also left to mourn her loss are her brothers, Steve & George (Lillian); sisters, Anne Evasiuk & Lena (Warren) Shaw; sisters-in-law, Ann Capjack, Olga Ewasiuk (Peter’s wife), Olga Ewasiuk (Nick’s wife), Mary Capjack, Levina Ewasiuk, Helen Ewasiuk & Olga Melnyk; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by Mike, her husband of 37 years; parents, Mike & Maria Ewasiuk; brothers, John (Betty), Nick, Bill (Eva), Harry (Barbara), Max (Isabella), Peter, Paul & Raymond; sisters, Kathleen (John) & Paula (Ken); brothers-in-law, Joe (Olga), John, Louis, George (Ida); sisters-in-law, Mary (Peter), Ann (Mike), Rose (Nick) & Katie (Peter). Doris will always be remembered for her never-fading smile and her generosity. She will be missed by her friends at the Heritage Lodge in Elk Point. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Elk Point. Reverend Father Bohdan Nahachewsky will be the celebrant, with interment in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Northern Valley. Bernice: we are so sorry for your loss. Your mother was one of the first to welcome us to the neighbourhood and never complained about the noise and craziness from our kids. She always had cookies and treats for them at Halloween and would phone to make sure that Jordan and Jena would come over for their goodie bags. We will always remember her with that big smile.

Bernice, Michael, and Gladys our deepest condolences at the loss of your mother, you all have the wonderful memories of a Great Lady they do help ease pain of loss.
Doris was kind, delightful and in recent years when mom became ill, she shared her stories about George and Ida,friends, great family gatherings and I will remember her warmth and that smile in her telling of days gone by. Thanks for stories.
