Obituary
“Heaven has gained another angel.”
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donna Kondro announces her peaceful passing in Elk Point at the age of 74 years. She will be forever remembered by her daughters, Kelly (Rudy & their daughter, Taylor) of Sherwood Park, Shauna (Barry & their children, Natalie & Nathan) of Flower Mound, Texas, & Tracey (Brent & their son, Cody) of Sherwood Park; sister, Jean McGinnis of Elk Point; brother, Terry (Denise) of Australia; special sister-in-law, Georgina (Tom) of Olds; niece & caregiver, Mona McGinnis of Stoney Lake; & many nieces, nephews & extended family & friends. Mom was predeceased by her baby boy; parents, Lloyd & Helen; sister, Grace; brother, Al; brothers-in-law, Melvin & John; granddaughter, Shelby.
Mom touched many lives with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her listening, her love, social personality & for being “the Aunt” to so many. The family would like to thank Dr. A. Oyebode and the staff of Elk Point Hospital for all of the care during the last three months. A special thank you to Debbie, Yvonne, Linda, Joanne & Melinda. We are so grateful that you were there for Mom and kept a sense of humor through her journey.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk Point Seniors’ Centre, 5010 – 48 Street, Elk Point, with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital, Cross Cancer Institute or Elk Point Hospital Palliative Care c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
