On April 5, 2021, Deano August Rain “Raining Thunderbird” Favel of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 26 years. He is survived by his son, Jasper Perry Lazare Favel; parents, Louise Whiskeyjack & Dean Favel; mother of his child, Morningstar Large; brothers, Brandon (Nikole) Favel, Lazare (Sunrise) Favel, Samuel (Lennea) McGilvery, Timothy (Brooklyn) Favel, Blaze Favel, Princey Boy Favel & Presley Favel; sisters, Heather (Bugzy) McGilvery, Tamara Williar, Kimberly (Frank) Favel, Daisy Favel & Roxy Favel; maternal grandparents, Lazare & Roberta Whiskeyjack; maternal great-grandmother, Marie Louise Williams; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. Deano was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Allen & Lillian Favel; auntie, Lillian Favel; uncles, Barry Favel, Robert Favel, Charles Favel, Roy Steinhauer & Zachery Maurisseau; cousins, Brenden Favel, Aaron Favel, Robbie Favel, Nelson Favel Jr & Chanice Houle. A Traditional Pipe Ceremony will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
