On January 10, 2016, Craig Daniel Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 32 years. He is survived by his love, Alexis “Mosh” Steinhauer; daughter, Zaida Cardinal; adopted stepson, Evan Jr. Steinhauer; mother, Elaine (Leslie) Cardinal; father, Alfred Quinney; siblings, Amanda Cardinal, Lucas Cardinal, Jolene Cardinal, Shaylene Littlechild, Shanika Littlechild & Clark Quinney; stepbrothers, Brent Cardinal, Lyle Cardinal, Peter Jr. Cardinal, Evan Cardinal & Lee Cardinal; godmother, Louise McGilvery; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters, Samantha Cardinal & Shanee “Charlie” Littlechild; cousin, Nigel Cardinal, maternal grandparents, Angelique & Alphonse Cardinal, paternal grandparents, Rita (Austin) Quinney & Charlie Quinney; godfather, Garry McGilvery. A Wake was held on Thursday & Friday, January 14 & 15 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Funeral Service was held on Saturday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
